Kerrie Arcouette
Barn Manager & Trainer
As early as 9 years old Kerrie knew she wanted to be involved with horses. As many young girls do, she found a local farm and started learning the strengths of being a working student. Kerrie was very appreciative of the opportunity to quickly advance her education, and as she grew older and became more helpful, she was able to travel with them to some bigger Arabian shows.
Having been given a great start, Kerrie realized the joy in teaching and the fulfillment that comes along with watching a student grasp a new task or overcome something difficult. She had at this time moved along from Arabians to the Hunter/Jumper world and was apprenticing at a large show barn while getting her MA License. It was there that Kerrie was also able to work with some young horses, as well as, become an integral part of running their lesson program. Kerrie also enjoyed working with the IHSA teams and was Head Coach of the Clark University team for 6 years. Before coming to EIEC, Kerrie was the Barn Manager and assistant trainer for Lelo Reeves of Shepley Hill Eventing.
Ian Roy
Management Team Member
Ian is Paige’s husband and a member of the management team at EIEC. He was first in the saddle for riding lessons at the age of 7 years old while living in Oslo, Norway. Although he does not compete, Ian can at times be found riding in one of our arenas or on a trail ride with family, friends, or clients. Ian has a passion for “farm upgrades” and enjoys building new things for the facility, such as full set of show-jumping fences for our outdoor arena.
Off the farm, Ian is a fourth-year human medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine and has a passion for Primary Care - Sports Medicine. He is currently a member of an inter-institutional collaboration of medical providers working to research and advance the safety of equestrian sports. Blending his passions for medicine and horses, Ian assisted in the delivery of EIEC’s first foal- Bruin!
